So, long story short, we (the SN staff) were nerding out yesterday on FB searching and sharing some music covers (some among ourselves and some on social media) running on the SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive YM2612 sound chip. Of course, many of those versions rocked our ears, so we decided to make 2 setlists and share them with you (thanks to Jayson for compiling them all).
The first setlist contains Radio Song covers running on the YM2612, while the second contains other game melody covers on that same YM2612, plus some others in the YM, VRC7, X68X, FM77A, MSX and combinations between them.

We need more YM2612 & PSG chiptune music out there, so here’s some music tool suggestions if you are a musician and want to start producing some nice SEGA sound tunes: Deflemask, Super PSG and F-MDrive which we covered over here.
