Alpha Protocol to include James Bond-style love interests, for that real spy experience

Three of the biggest (and best loved) spy themes that people compare Alpha Protocol to are Jack Bauer, Jason Bourne and James Bond.  That is because, essentially players are given the option to play the game out like these three spys.
Jack Bauer is the hard ass, in your face type spy.  Jason Bourne having brilliant […]

Sega playing hide ‘N seek with old source codes

For those of you are wondering why Sega seem to only be putting Megadrive games on XBLA and VC (with a few Master System games on VC too), and perhaps want to see some classic old Sega System 16/24 arcade games, then Simon Jeffery has the answer… they are hiding.
In another (and supposedly last) […]

Them Brits just love their Mario… and Sonic

It’s hardly brand new information that Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games is selling pretty darn well.  Many would say that it is selling “surprisingly” well, considering so many people (including some Sega Nerds) berated the idea, when Sega originally announced it.
Sega Europe has now announced that the Wii version of Mario & Sonic […]

Aeropause reviews AtGames’ mini-Megadrive

For our regular readers, you should remember a couple of months ago, we reported on a new Megadrive console by ATGames.
Like many mini-Megadrive consoles over the past few years, this one had some 20 built-in games.  But unlike it’s competitors, the “AtGames Sega Megadrive Twin Pad Player” has a cartridge slot, which allows users to […]

Marvel to change the way it handles games - but will it work?

I found some enjoyment with this years Iron Man game, (though I know I’m one of few), and I did actually enjoy HULK quite a lot - the occasional mindless destruction does wonders for my sanity.
However, I haven’t lost all taste, and do realise that as far as superhero-based game franchises go, Sega’s latest offerings […]

E3 had “atmosphere of a large hospital corridor” - but Sega still backs events

Just the other day, we reported on how several top game developing companies, including Sega, spoke of their disappointment at this years E3, and that something had to be done.
Speaking with MCV, Simon Jeffery (yep that guy again!) wanted to clarify his views on the matter:
“E3 was a strange beast this year. We had an […]

Even if you hate Sega games, you can’t help but congratulate them on their constant stream of titles over the past two years.  And it seems that stream won’t be drying up too soon either, as Sega has set out the dates for their upcoming titles.

Beijing 2008 – 8th Aug - PC
Samba De Amigo – […]

Hackers could have Sega’s Monkeys by their balls

Well it was inevitable, it seems that some hackers have cracked the iPhone’s “Fairplay DRM,” and it a certain top-selling iTunes App by Sega is the main dish on the menu.
Super Monkey Ball is now being offered as a free, pirated download by HackLabs.

Kotaku asks Simon Jeffery the generic E3 questions - receives usual answers

Gaming events are great fun aren’t they?
You get to see some videos/screenshots of new games,  hear developers talk about upcoming projects and get to read some interesting interviews… and watch as the world goes crazy, speculating at some mad new inventions and hearing wild rumours.
It’s always the same, and this year was no different […]

More Sonic Chronicles gameplay footage

~Green Hill Gameplay~
Gametrailers has put up some short clips of Sonic Chronicles‘ gameplay.  The four videos show off some of the game’s different areas, including the Chao Garden.
But one of the best things about the videos is that they seem to be using the actual in-game music - other videos, before now, either […]
