SEGA has just posted this cryptic image on its official Facebook page with the words “ON OCTOBER 29TH GUTS WILL BE _______.”
Now, what could this be? There are seven characters that will fit with in the blank spaces, and the horror-styled font should mean it’s either something scary or Halloween-related.
The only significance we currently know about Oct. 29 is that’s the date when Sonic: Lost World ships in North America that day, but it can’t be that, can it? Any guesses?
I saw someone else’s half-baked theory on another website that it was related to Typing of the Dead, so I will glom onto that slightly: Maybe we’ll finally get to hear about new Sega remakes / rereleases, one of which being Typing of the Dead? Then maybe the other two or three are Skies and Shenmue 1 (and if there’s 3 others, either Shenmue 2 or the original Space Channel 5)? At least I hope so.
You know, I am thinking that the obvious word would be “Spilled”, however if we’re talking about a new Typing of the Dead it could just as easily be a play on words using the word “Spelled”. “Guts will be spelled”, which would be pretty funny and clever…
Typing of the Dead could pretty easily work on Wii U or Vita or 3DS or any system with a touchscreen keyboard interface honestly.
I’ve heard that going around. What’s funny is I actually told Dan on thus week’s podcast that SEGA needs to release Typing of the Dead on mobile, and we all had a good laugh about it.
How crazy would it be if SEGA announced it not even two weeks later?
That would be awesome! I freakin’ loved me some Typing… of the Dead!!! If it’s as funny as the DC game, it could be a real blast.
