Could Sonic Mania be coming to the Nintendo Switch at launch?

OK, let me preface this with a disclaimer: what you’re about to read, is completely unsubstantiated rumor mongering. But hey, sometimes it’s fun to do that, right? So let’s have some fun!

Nintendo community site GoNintendo got their hands on an image that’s apparently a product listing from a GameStop in Germany that shows all the games the store currently has in its system for the Nintendo Switch.

For the most part, everything looks pretty standard, with Project Sonic 2017 having a Nov. 12 release date, which is a bit odd since that’s a Sunday, but, hey, maybe that’s something they do in Germany.

Anyway, the juicy part is that there’s another listing for “NSW Sonic,” with a March 19 release date, which lines up with the rest of the Switch launch titles. The only other Sonic game that’s been announced up to this point, of course, is Sonic Mania, but that’s only supposed to release on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Might SEGA and Nintendo have a secret Sonic Mania announcement up its sleeve for the upcoming Switch event on Jan. 12, where it will finally release details about its upcoming system?
