Report: Project Sonic 2017 will include a new character and feature
Earlier this week, SEGA held a special event to celebrate the Japanese release of Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice. The event included a meet and greet where fans were able to ask their most burning questions, and some of the responses were quite interesting.
According to Twitter user BlueStorm_SONIC it was mentioned that Project Sonic 2017 would feature a brand new character. When asked about a possible connection between Project Sonic 2017 and Sonic Generations, the devs said the two are separate, but there will be 2D and 3D stages. They also mentioned that another feature will be added to the game, but they did not delve into any further details.

Yeah, I myself am now tired whenever a new Sonic side-character is announced as they almost always tend to suck.
Expectations were lowered by grimdark trailer. But, this? SEGA just never learns, do they?
