SEGA files trademark for Valkyria: Azure Revolution
We learned a few weeks ago that SEGA had trademarked a new entry in the Valkyria Chronicles series, titled Aoki Kakumei no Valkyria.
Well, it looks like they’ve also just recently trademarked what looks to be the English title of its new game, which is Valkyria: Azure Revolution.
Of course, it’s still too early for any details on what we should expect from the game, but we wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a mobile release.

They dropped the “chronicles”?
In Japan, I believe Chronicles was kind of the subtitle. So it would make sense to drop it for a new game I think. Needless to say, I’m praying to the Sega Gods that this comes out in America. I would love for Sega to start releasing real games again, especially in the west. A new Valkyria on PS4 would be amazing.
I have a feeling it will be a mobile/tablet game. Then again that isn’t necessarily a bad idea. I do feel both Sega and Nintendo should be reviving franchises on those platforms and getting attention on them. If they do well and show demand is there from the fans and newcomers then ‘proper’ games can be made in whatever series it is. F-Zero for Nintendo is one that could do with a casual gamer kick up the backside and Sega has loads (Streets Of Rage, Chu Chu, Space Channel 5, Valkyria, even maybe Burning Rangers). Hell, the recent Sonic Runners could even easily be modded into a new NiGHTS game to get us a new NiGHTS title!
Where was this patent filed?
America or Japan?
