SEGA says fan reactions to their apology proves they “made the right first step”

A couple of weeks back, SEGA CEO Hajime Satomi promised SEGA fans across the globe that they want to win back their trust. In the latest update from SEGA’s headquarters, the House of Sonic released a statement in regards to fan reactions from SEGA’s apology.

“Seeing our fans across the world respond to our recent interview with Famitsu, lets us know we’ve made the right first step in acknowledging who we are and where we want to be. Sega is dedicated to bringing you quality gaming experiences and becoming a brand you love and trust again.” — Haruki Satomi

It’s good to see that SEGA is taking the reigns and steering the company in the right direction. Hopefully this change of attitude will bring SEGA back to its former glory. What do you think of Satomi’s statement? Sound off in the comments below!

  1. It is all cool and I am hopeful that they can become the Sega they used to be, but they should start by allowing the west to play on the PSO2 SOA servers. They teased us by taking off the ip block just to implement it again 2 days later and that is not good for Sega’s redemption campaign. Even worst is the fact that nobody said anything about it, proving that the communication with fans is awful, regardless of Sega’s current good intentions.

    1. Not agreeing with you. Even Sega Enterprises cofounder David Rosen in the last day of Dreamcast said, “I have been advocating this for more than seven years now. I always felt it was a bit of folly for them to be limiting their potential to SEGA hardware.”
SEGA games should reach everyone as much as possible, just like back then when arcade is still the true king.

    1. May be because the maker of yakuza engine won’t let them, just like Yuji Naka forbid SEGA Technical Institute using Sonic X-Treme using his Nights engine and got furious when he found out that they were already using it, that’s why the game is canceled back then.
