Panzer Dragoon Saga vinyl delayed to June due to manufacturing error

Like many of you, we’ve been eagerly awaiting our vinyl of the Panzer Dragoon Saga 20th Anniversary Arrangement, and we’ve noticed that some people online have actually started to receive theirs.

We received an email shortly ago from Fangamer, courtesy of Brave Wave, alerting us that shipments would cease due to a manufacturing error, and shipments will now be delayed until June.

Here is the message from Brave Wave:

“Regrettably, we must announce a delay for the 2-LP edition of Resurrection: Panzer Dragoon Saga 20th Anniversary Arrangement due to a manufacturer error that was only discovered after manufacturing of the first press was completed.

The records were manufactured and even shipped to our partners, but when we inspected our initial samples, we discovered that a manufacturing error rendered the entire run unfit for sale.

As a result, we have to reproduce the entire run, which will delay the release of the vinyl until approximately early June. We are working with our manufacturer to remedy this delay as quickly as possible, and hope to have a more concrete shipping date for you soon.

When we announced Resurrection: Panzer Dragoon Saga 20th Anniversary Arrangement, we received an overwhelmingly passionate response from both Panzer Dragoon fans and peers in the game industry. On behalf of Saori Kobayashi, Sega and the Brave Wave team, we cannot thank everyone enough for their support of this project.

We sincerely apologize for the disappointment that this delay brings, and hope that when the final product arrives at your doorstep, you can relive the world of Panzer Dragoon Saga through Kobayashi’s amazing arrangements.”

It’s definitely disappointing news, but we would be more upset receiving a poor quality product that may or may not even work, so we understand Brave Wave’s decision to cease shipments until they can ensure the product meets expectations.
