Dashy Crashy adds SEGA Rally-inspired cars and game mode
Plus Daytona and Initial D updates...
As mentioned a couple of weeks ago, the enjoyable endless runner/racer Dashy Crashy has been releasing updates based upon popular racing franchises, including several SEGA-inspired racers.
Originally starting with OutRun, Dashy Crashy has also seen additional cars and game modes based on: Daytona USA and Initial D. Now the game has seen an update featuring SEGA Rally – which excites me in particular, as it’s my all time favourite racing game! Woo!
Check out the video above to see Travis Ryan, former Sumo Digital developer and one of the main team at Dumpling Design working on Dashy Crashy, playing the game.
As mentioned, the new vehicles bring with them new racing styles/modes that mix up the normal gameplay of Dashy Crashy. Plus there’s quite a few more to come it seems.
If you’re interested in Dashy Crashy, then be sure to check it out on the AppStore and Google PlayStore, or visit the game’s website, here.

Dashy Crashy….. that name is painful to even look at.
Wouldn’t touch the game if my life depended on it I don’t wanna add to their “download” count but hey classic Sega arcade game cars, thats kinda cool.
Better than nothing, or worse erased from existence. (Outrun 2 XBLA for instance)
Really hope they take this time to consider bringing those IPs back somehow.
I’d be happy with collections of the arcade versions and the like on PC, wonder what keeps them from doing that but allows them to throw the cars into something like this.
The other mode they had was a Ridge Racer themed level. Upcoming ones might be themed around F-Zero and WipEout, amongst others
