The Creative Assembly announces a new series in the Total War franchise

SEGA and the Creative Assembly have announced a spin-off series in the Total War franchise: A Total War Saga.

Building on previous titles, the Total War Sagas will centre on pivotal flashpoints in those eras, such as civil wars, renowned conquests and political upheavals.

Each ‘Saga’ promises to be similar in scope and focus to Fall of The Samurai, the standalone follow-up to SHOGUN II. The first Total War Saga will continue on from ROME II and ATTILA, presenting a new challenge in a focussed geographical area.

The first Total War Saga will arrive with gamers before the next major historical release in the franchise
