SEGA Networks signs deal with Cloudzilla’s 1APP

SEGA Networks Japan and GO Game have signed an agreement deal with USA based company Cloudzilla, for usage of its 1APP service. Cloudzilla’s 1APP service allows any app to be streamed or run in any web browser without any app store platform, without installing or taking drive memory space from the device (cache only), and without OS update requirement (except for the current running browser, of course). A very smart move considering iOS or Android updates have been affecting performance on some titles.

With this alliance, SEGA Networks is looking to take advantage this service’s technology, through its menu, the user will determine if the content meets his/her preferences, and from them on to download. A good way to play demos and then decide if to get the game or not.

For now the alliance is set to operate for Japan and Asia, but considering SEGA of America’s current releases is highly probable for this type of usage to hit the west too.

Cloudzilla was founded in 2011, based in Silicon Valley. The company’s main service is the “1APP”. You can visit their site here.
