Andrew’s second Shenmue documentary In Ryo’s Footsteps 2 has finally arrived for you viewing pleasure.

Running a little more than 21 minutes, this documentary features on-location shots, from Sakuragaoka to Dobuita, following the steps that Ryo Hazuki took in his quest to exact revenge on Lan Di for killing his father.

We hope you enjoy this documentary and never give up hope that we’ll finally get Shenmue 3 and the proper ending to Ryo’s adventure that we properly deserve.

  1. Just watched it and I have to say that people like Andrew Pine should represent the Shenmue fan base and not the people that spam random forums yelling “give us Shenmue 3”.

If you are doing that then you don’t really deserve Shenmue 3 or Shenmue 1, for that matter cause you didn’t learn anything from that game.

Yu Suzuki has said in numerous interviews that Shenmue was meant to be a journey of enlightenment and not revenge. Ryo’s anger was suppose to extinguish through his journey. I have played Shenmue and while I have not ventured the streets of Dobuita, I have learned immensely through Ryo’s footsteps.

    1. Thank you. I really appreciate that buddy. It really does come to a point that it gets a little ridiculous, the random people screaming at the top of their lungs that Sega sucks and they deserve Shenmue 3.
That is a real point. Yu Suzuki did say that it was a journey of enlightenment. That’s what I consider my movies to be, enlightening fans to the places they loved so much in the games.
