Bet you didn’t know the Alex Kidd theme song had lyrics

We have a soft spot in our hearts for Alex Kidd, the former SEGA mascot who was usurped from power by Sonic the Hedgehog. Nowadays, you can find Alex racing against other SEGA stars in Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, but the little guy hasn’t had a game of his own in a long, long time. Part of what makes Alex Kidd so awesome is the series’ music, most notably perhaps the theme song from Alex Kidd in Miracle World.

It seems our buddies at SegaMasterSystem.com are big fans too, as they added lyrics to Miracle World’s theme song, which go perfectly with it.

Here are the song’s lyrics:

Paper, Rock, Scissors gonna send your soul to heaven
Paper, Rock, Scissors gonna send your soul to heaven

Cruisin around Miracle Town
Yeah I’m the coolest Kidd around
My giant fist, your ugly face
Rice cakes taste like love!

I don’t need a car. I’m a superstar!
If you steal my bike from me
I’ll just borrow Pee Wee’s!

I’m Alex Kidd!
On the Master System!
1986!

Paper, Rock, Scissors gonna send your soul to heaven
Paper, Rock, Scissors gonna send your soul to heaven

Where did I go? Nobody knows!
Starred in 6 games in a row.
Most of them sucked. Accept for these two!
Rice cakes tastes like love!

Sega’s hoping that
I’m their killer app
Sonic is still years away
Until then I’ll have my day

I’m Alex Kidd on the
Master System
1986!!!
