General Chaos II fails to meet Kickstarter goal

It’s with a heavy heart that we must report that the sequel to the SEGA Genesis cult hit, General Chaos, failed to meet its $125,000 Kickstarter goalGeneral Chaos II: Sons of Chaos was only able to muster $15,835 behind 357 backers in its month-long campaign.

Despite the sad news, Game Refuge CEO Brian Colin had an uplifting message to his backers. “Although we haven’t reached our Kickstarter goal, I want to assure you that this game will get made; it just may take us a little longer,” he wrote.

Colin went on to write that fans of the game can send an email to with the words “GENERAL CHAOS LIVES” in the subject line to continue to receive updates about the game’s progress.

It really is a shame the game didn’t meet its goal, as we were fans of the original. However, it’s great that Game Refuge will move forward with the game’s development.
