Sonic: Lost World trailer released

The first ˆ trailer has been released and it shows exactly what the mysterious “Guardians” look like, and they don’t look very nice as they’re terrifying some cute, little animals.

The video also shows some gameplay footage, complete with some new Sonic moves.

  1. I think this game looks fun. It really does seem to be a Sonic style take on Mario Galaxy. There are a lot of call backs to the first game and I really like the style of the environments. It’s so colourful. I do hope Sonic Team never decide to try and achieve “realistic” graphics in a Sonic game ever again. They’re much better suited to this style. I wouldn’t class Sonic Unleashed as realistic, either. The Disney-esq world in that game was also wonderful.

With that said, I won’t be buying a Wii U for this. It’ll be interesting to see how it fares, though. I’ll be avoiding the 3DS version, too. The handheld Sonic games haven’t really cut it since Sonic Advance for me. They feel like they’re going downhill, with Generations 3DS being one of their lowest points IMO.

    1. It’s not even loosely based on Super Mario Galaxy.
This is a reboot of a cancelled Sega Saturn project from 1995. I’m surprised, especially on a Sonic blog, that nobody noticed Sega is reviving Sonic X-treme’s concept in this game.
