SEGA of Japan is starting a ‘SEGA Catcher Online’ for mobile

One of SEGA’s most popular crane games, the SEGA UFO Catcher, is now heading to mobile phones. Named SEGA Catcher Online, this app allows you to control a UFO Catcher in real time from any smart device.

You can play through the internet and remotely operate a UFO Catcher of your choice. If you win a prize, it will be shipped to your address.

As of right now, the app is only available, and looks to be, a Japan exclusive. However, it is in early stages and SEGA announced that they are taking registrations for the closed beta test. The app is scheduled to launch in December of 2017.

You can visit the official website here.

Would be frustrating with the lag but I’d love this in the US, California maybe for testing yeah?
Hope it works out though the prices will probably be higher with shipping and such. Still sounds like a fun idea. Would be fun to have classic Sega arcade games done this way too but then there’s the lag problem again. UFO machines makes enough sense.
