UNBOXING: SEGA’s Summer 2014 Wonfest: Saturn SEGA Hard Girl Figure

I got pretty excited last month when SEGA of Japan announced they were finally releasing their SEGA Saturn Hard Girl Figure, the sad news came when they said they were only going to sell only 400 exclusively on this year’s Summer Wonfest at Chiba, Japan.

Obviously I got sad because I don’t live there to get one, but a friend of mine does, so he got to this year’s Wonfest and bought one for me without telling me, it was quite a surprise! So I got this package today and I’m going to share the figure’s unboxing with all of you!

Here it is, the package itself, it came with a bag with a few extras:

The extras were the following: A very special bag, it has the SEGA Saturn 20th Anniversary Logo, the figure was released to commemorate that.  It was also made to announce the SEGA Hard Girls Anime release date (October this year).

Gotta Love the detail SEGA of Japan puts in creating all of these sweet memorabilia!

Along with the bag came a mysterious sleeve case, it had the current SEGA Navi toy figure catalog… aaaand… as a surprise it had the Official SEGA Hard Girls Anime Flyer!

The Flyer reveals a few scenes on the upcoming anime, like the Hard Girls interacting with characters such as Akira from Virtua Fighter, Opa Opa and Sonic the Hedgehog, can’t wait for this to be released on October!

The rest of the catalog was regular SEGA Prize figure stuff, like the new Miku and Armored Girls statues.

Now… time to open that box!!

The box itself is pure beauty!  It kinda feels like a Good Smile company figure box, loved all the console details they added on the golden retro box.

Saturn 20th Anniversary and Hard Girls logo are also there, there are only 400 of these in the world, so I will take good care of this!

Time to open the figure’s box, once outta the blister we get a good look at the great detail on the sculpting. The black paint is metallic, it adds great color and texture, we also have a pair of extra hands to change the cancer logo staffs for those!

For those unlucky ones who couldn’t get one, Good Smile Company will be releasing another version of this figure with summer clothes and a Nendroid on Janauary next year, be sure to get yours before they get sold out!
