Dragon Age: Inquisition’s executive producer Mark Darrah had the unenviable task with letting the gaming community know the game would be delayed from its announced Oct. 7 release date to Nov. 18 in North America and Nov. 21 in Europe.
The Creative Assembly’s Alien: Isolation will be released Oct. 7, so that’s one huge competitor the game will no longer have to worry about when it releases.
Of course, that doesn’t mean Alien: Isolation will be without competition. NBA 2K15 and Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor will release alongside Alien: Isolation, and Batman: Arkham Knight will release the following week.
SEGA will surely have its hands full convincing gamers to forego these other titles and purchase Alien: Isolation instead, but not having to worry about a big-budget EA franchise like Dragon Age certainly doesn’t hurt.

One other interesting updated release date is Sonic Boom coming in November. Seeing as how Nintendo gave Sega some cash (I’m assuming) for Sonic exclusives, I highly doubt that they would release Smash in Nov. to compete with Sonic. Nintendo gave Sega the coveted November release slot. Very interesting indeed.
