A fan created an enhanced version of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for the SEGA Master System
While Sonic the Hedgehog 2 on the Master System is considered a favorite by many, it never hurts to give the game a new coat of paint. An enhanced version of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 was created by user MrCat, which includes three new zones, remastered layouts, and artwork.

I knew people grew up on the Master System games but boy do they suck…
Edit: I actually researched a bit… Looks like Ancient did the original which is a port/remake of the Genesis subsequent games are by a studio called aspect and they suck. Like seriously, compare this to Sonic 1 on master system.
I liked Sonic Chaos, was never a fan of Sonic 2 on SMS.
I looked into Sonic Chaos as well as Sonic Blast. Out of the three I do think Chaos is the best but I would still pick the Ancient version over all of them. Would’ve been nice if Ancient made another Sonic game maybe they could’ve pushed the 8-bit hardware second time around.
The first Sonic on SMS was great as well. Sonic Blast on SMS was pretty bad.
