SEGA Nerdcast: Episode 7
We’re back again with the much-anticipated interview with Shenmue’s Ryo Hazuki voice actor Corey Marshall! We talk to Corey about how he originally got the job as Ryo, the infamous “Sailors” quote, if he’s been working on Shenmue 3 and much more!
If you’d like to skip right to the interview, go to the 46 minute and 45 second mark of the show.

In this episode, we talk about:
- Our initial thoughts on what we know about Sonic: Lost World;
- I also make my case for why there should be a damn colon in the title of the game!
- We watch the new Castle of Illusion video and discuss our expectations on the game
- We answer our Question of the Week, which is “What is your favorite RPG released on a SEGA console;” and
- Graham talks about playing Dark Souls, and Chris has been playing Sonic Generations with his son.

Great job on the interview guys. I’ve been looking forward to it all week.
Thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed it.
Good interview. Initially I was apprehensive about a 2 1/2 hr podcast, but I enjoyed hearing from Corey, and will listen to it again another day. I like that he’s a sci-fi book fan, as I am too (and I’m also reading Dune at the moment). I think Jeremy Blaustein would be a good interview too, he has talked about his weird experience working with Yu Suzuki on Shenmue on hardcore gaming 101, and I would love to hear more.
Also in regards to the poll on the right, Ecco Defender of the Future is like the best game I’ve ever played that no one knows about. It was like an underwater Zelda adventure.
That’s great to hear. We didn’t originally plan for the podcast to be so long. I actually edited it down quite a bit from our video show, which would have pushed it well over three hours!
