Former Cartoon Network exec joins SEGA of Europe
SEGA of Europe has hired Jason Rice as the new Director of Brand Licensing, bringing 18 years of experience from the world of commercial branding. In addition to working for Cartoon Network, Rice has also been in charge of major children’s programming for the BBC.
“I’m delighted to welcome Jason to SEGA,” said Post. “Over the last couple of years, we’ve heavily invested in the growth of our now extensive licensing portfolio, resulting in a fantastic range. Jason brings with him a wealth of experience with top brands and is perfectly placed to further develop and expand on our strategy and licensing offering.”
“SEGA is a fantastic brand with some inspirational IP,” Rice said. “There are some incredible opportunities to explore with some strong partnerships with key licensees already in place. It’s a great time to be here at SEGA.”
We wish Jason the best of luck in his new position at SEGA!

That is great news, for Sega after the cut of employees. Sega needs more experienced people like this to stay relevant in the market 🙂

Thanks for the link, Kyle. We’re fully aware of the TJ&E news but haven’t reported on it because we’ve been working with Greg for awhile now and plan a bigger article and interview with him later this month.
We’ll share everything we know about the game then. 😉
