Shenmue is the most gorgeous game ever created
It’s no secret we think Shenmue is one of the greatest games of all time, but what’s truly amazing about the game is despite it was released more than 15 years ago, its graphics still hold up remarkably well today.
But if you really want to get blown away, watch this eight-minute Shenmue music video (in 1080p resolution and 60 frames per second!) YouTube channel Dreamcaster’s Tube recently published that features some of the most iconic moments of the game set against the game’s classic soundtrack.
It’s simply beautiful and only serves to remind us how much we really want SEGA to release the game in high definition. C’mon, SEGA!
Shenmue is simply more than a game is a cherished life experience 🙂 that is unforgettable.
Shenmue is proof that graphics alone don’t make beauty. They do hold up well, but they aren’t much compared to modern standards. And yet, still, Shenmue remains the most beautiful piece of interactive fiction ever made, for so many reasons.
Microsoft paid sega once, for shenmue 2, they should do it again. or just pay yu suzuki to make a spiritual successor, like how they have crimson dragon.
That or they could release another adventure or action game, Yu Suzuki knows how to create good games. With the proceeds of the new game he could finally fund Shenmue III. I’m bit worried about Yu, it seems he hasn’t been doing nothing lately…
