Shenmue and Streets of Rage soundtracks are being remastered for vinyl
Are you a fan of Shenmue and/or Streets of Rage? Do you own a record player? If you said yes to both of those questions, then you’ll be happy to know that the soundtracks for Streets of Rage and Shenmue are coming to vinyl! The record label Data Discs has announced that both remastered soundtracks will be released later this year.
The Streets of Rage soundtrack has been fully remastered with the game’s original composer, Yuzo Koshiro. Both Shenmue and Streets of Rage albums are pressed on 180 gram vinyl and each title will include lithographic prints.
Pre-orders for both soundtracks will begin on May 30th through Data Discs’ website and customers who pre-order early will receive “exclusive editions” of the soundtracks. Pricing for the vinyl soundtracks have not been yet announced.

I don’t even own a record player, and I plan on buying both of these! I have been wanting to get one when we move to the new house in Jersey, though. Can’t wait to hear some “Fighting in the Street” and then go and pick a fight with some neighborhood kids in the actual street while Yuzo’s kickass tunes are blasting from my house.
