SEGA to remake most requested titles

What do we have here?

While discussing his experience with remakes in an interview with Siliconera, SEGA’s CS Research and Development producer Yosuke Okunari has said that SEGA are turning to their fans for ideas about which classic titles to re-launch as part of their next line-up of remakes.

“For Sonic from the Sega Genesis, not only did we make it into 3D, but we also added the Spin Dash, which I believe made it easier to play. For 3D Galaxy Force II, the 3D added more depth to the screen, making it less common to get lost on the route. The things staff members wanted to express in the past but couldn’t are now possible with today’s technology. And we’d like to share that joy. For our next line-up, it will depend on all of your voices, so please continue to support us.”

Clearly this is something to get excited about! Though, if you choose to send in your requests they should be addressed to SEGA and not Okunari. In a recent tweet Okunari stated: “If you’d like to see your favourite games ported, please let SEGA West know! Your wish probably won’t come true if it’s just sent to me.”

So what classic remakes would you like to see SEGA do next? Let us know in the comments!

As for me, I shall be jumping on the bandwagon of requests a bit here. SEGA, for the love of all things blue and spiky please give us some Shenmue!
