SEGA’s making a dance game for iPhone, iPad

In the “Well, I guess it was bound to happen at some point” department, SEGA has announced GO DANCE, a dance an rhythm game for the iPhone and iPad that’s set to release sometime this fall.

According to the press release, the SEGA Networks developed game will utilize “key technology that takes advantage of the FaceTime camera on player’s devices, scores will be determined by an interactive motion-based sensor as gamers dance to the music following the choreography of their avatars displayed on the screen.”

I suppose you won’t look any less stupid dancing in front of a phone than you do dancing in front of your TV. SEGA said it will announce songs, backgrounds and avatars to go along with the game soon.
