Check out the new Infinite Space screens

The last screenshots we saw of Infinite Space weren’t that impressive and didn’t show much of the game off. I guess these don’t either, but it does show off the art style. It’s that classy feminine male character look that all the Square fans love.
I hope the game is fun, regardless of its art style.
TGS 08: Sega dominates Edge’s top 20 games at TGS
Posted by George. Filed under George, Japan, Microsoft Xbox 360, Nintendo DS, Sony PlayStation 3. Tagged with 7th Dragon, Bleach: Versus Crusade, Infinite Space, Let's Tap, Phantasy Star 0, Phantasy Star Zero, Sonic Unleashed, TGS 08, Yakuza 3.

Sega came into TGS to do one thing, kick ass. If you see their line up, its a pretty beefy , Edge even agrees. They posted a list of the top 20 games at TGS and Sega had more games on the list than any other publisher. When was the last time you saw so many Sega games make a list?
Here are the games that made the list (only Sega games posted):
- 20. Seventh Dragon
- 19. Infinite Space
- 14. Phantasy Star 0
- 12. Sonic UnleashedÂ
- 10. Let’s TapÂ
- 05. Bleach Versus Crusade
- 02. Yakuza 3
- Â [full list!]
Surprises? Mine was that Bleach: Versus Crusade broke into the top 5 and that Bayonetta wasn’t mentioned. I can see Yakuza 3 getting second to Resident Evil 5, due to the fact that Resident Evil 5 playable. What do you guys think?

If you haven’t seen Sega’s full TGS line up, then here it is. It appears that Sega decided not to put Prope’s game, apparently the system it will appear on is still a secret (cough Wii cough).

Being a big fan of free stuff, I could not help post the (so far) confirmed list of free Sega swag that will be given away at TGS.
Hit the jump and drool with envy.
Sega’s TGS time schedule

The problem with going to TGS is that it feels like you are playing Dead Rising in real life, everything is timed! But thanks to Sega releasing their time schedule, we can be at their booths at the right times with extra drool.
The events will be broadcast live at Sega’s TGS site (all besides 428 and Project Diva). There will be a booth with games not on the list, that didn’t get a showing. This list is also missing surprises like Prope’s new game and a secret unannounced game (this game should be shown on the net in the next couple of days via Famitsu).

Infinite Space gets animated
Posted by George. Filed under George, Japan, Nintendo DS. Tagged with Anime, Infinite Space, TGS.
Sega and Platinum Games are going to release short animated films to Infinite Space. The first of the films will be aired at TGS on October 9th, after October 17th the films will be free on game’s official website.
This isn’t going to be some cheap production either. The film will be handled by both Production I.G (Ghost in the Shell) and GONZO (Afro Samurai). Yasufumi Soejima (Yukikaze) will be directing.
No idea if the animated short films will be prequels to the upcoming game (like the Yakuza short films) or if its totally new story. I hope this animated series gives Infinite Space some much needed life. The series has looked bland to me, so its nice to see something like this announced.

- The game will be a large scale space opera RPG (drama?).
- You will not fight with characters, you will captain a battleship in space instead.
- You will travel around and collect modules to freely upgrade and customize your fleet.
- You can collect new crew members that all have their own skills and specialties that will end up changing the strategy and abilities in your fleet.
The game is scheduled to be released this upcoming spring in Japan. No specific date for the west, other than sometime in 2009.

E3 2008: Infinite Space

So it seems that Infinite Line, from Platinum games, has now been given it’s official name - Infinite Space.
At the original press conference, Infinite Line, was one game that the company did not talk much about - and could only show us a few early development screens.
Well not too much has changed there, we still only have a few concept pieces - three ships from the game.
But Sega has revealed some juicy details on the game’s premise. More details after the break.
