It’s been awhile since we last featured a SEGA racer in the Game of the Month Club. Wait, actually, I don’t think we ever have, but, hey, there’s a first time for everything, right? (Just ask Graham! hehe)
In January, After Burner was our game of the month, making the month even more exciting was SEGA’s release of 3D After Burner II on 3DS. As usual, The Requiem brought us a classic “One on One” interview, which might be the most disturbing yet.
This month, we’re hitting the arcades to play some Daytona USA!
Well, for one, the actual Daytona 500 takes place this month, so we thought it only appropriate to play the best racing game developed for the event.
Secondly, Daytona USA is a really bitchin’ game! Yep, I said bitchin’!
How it works!
Oh, you’re a new member to the Game of the Month Club, you say? Well, here’s how it works:
- We choose a game;
- Play it throughout the month and
- Share our experiences together in the SEGA Nerds official forum thread.
It’s a month-long discussion, so we encourage you to participate in the forum thread as often as possible as you experience the game. As usual, we have several articles specific to our Game of the Month.
How you can play!
Thankfully, you won’t actually have to hunt down Daytona USA in the arcades to participate because SEGA has released it on home consoles a few times now. Here are your options:
- Go to the funkin’ arcade
- Buy it on the Saturn
- Buy it on the Dreamcast
- PlayStation Network for $9.99
- Xbox Marketplace for $9.99
