Sega has just put up a list of its TGS line up, and in it is its new RPG with Kodama Rieko and Yuzo Koshiro . Its called 7th Dragon - not a remake of an old game. It also happens to be for the DS because that handheld is obviously lacking RPGs (joke).

Mystery over; now we wait for trailers and in game screenshots.  Then, hopefully the announcement that it’s coming to the West.

Of course, when Sega heroes Kodama Rieko and Yuzo Koshiro team up, we have to make a big deal about it. So, we here at Sega Nerds are trying to dig up everything we can find and get to the bottom of this “mystery.”

If you go to Jun’ya Ota’s (character designer on the game) blog, you will find the image posted above. It’s a bunch of oddly shaped human girls playing a Sega Megadrive. If you remember the teaser posted earlier today, it had 16 bit music on it. So, now we have this image.

Also, if you check out Image Epoch’s wikipedia, you will see a upcoming project: Project DF (2008) (in development). For those not in the know, he’s the director announced on this project and is one of the key staff members of Image Epoch. I guess we can also wait for the 26th to come and for Famitsu to reveal the title.

yuzopic.jpgYou might know Yuzo Koshiro for his musical works on popular Sega series’ like Shenmue, Streets of Rage, and Shinobi. Lately he hasn’t been working with Sega much, but its always good to know more about our favorite composers.

Koshiro says his most memorible moment in composing was when he did the Shenmue OST, I think that game has been memorible to all of us.When asked if he wanted a Streets of Rage revival, he responded with hopes for one. A new Streets of Rage with Koshiro on sountrack duty is a step in the right direction.
