Some new screenshots of Backbone Entertainment’s upcoming PSP game Sonic Rivals 2 have showed up at GameSpot’s website.
A couple of the screenshots reveal that Sonic cast characters Metal Sonic and Espio the Chameleon will be playable in the game. Exciting!

Today Sega announced Sonic Rivals 2, sequel to the 2006 PSP game developed by Backbone Entertainment.
The game will feature new playable characters, including series regular Tails. Six multiplayer modes will be offered, and only one game disc will be required for two people to play. Sonic Rivals 2 is scheduled for release this fall.

The Sonic Stadium has noticed the name Sonic Rivals 2 popping up on various game sites, including Game Informer Online and Game Trailers. Game Informer Online even shows the title releasing in November of this year.
