Sega Game Spoilers: Streets of Rage

Size doesn’t matter, (at least that’s what my hookers keep telling me), and so after the long, wonderful videos from last week’s SGS, this week I think it’s best to bring it on, short and sweet.

This week we take a look at the original Streets of Rage on the Megadrive/Genesis.  Admittedly, being a 16-bit title, it does not have any fancy cutscenes, nor a particularly deep storyline.  So what is there to see?

Well one thing is that this game offered two ending credits.  It was also one of the first games I played which gave you an option, which could affect the final outcome of the game, (I’m sure there were many before - but it was a first for me).

~Intro movie, before menu screen - giving a taster of the game~

{Apologies for being a little late with this feature this week, but I have an excuse.  While so many people have uploaded Sega-related videos to the web over the years, it can be damn hard to actually find exactly what we need/want.  So to make this feature a little better, I have (finally) worked out a way to edit and splice together various clips from the web, in order to bring you guys a better experience.}

In all honesty I think the whole console wars, and game industry should have stopped by now, because the greatest game ever, Panzer Dragoon Saga, has already been made.  But I guess it doesn’t hurt for developers to keep on persevering :o).

Yeah, this is my (personal) favourite game of all time, and I know a lot of other people have enjoyed it too.  But for those of you haven’t, this week we shall be looking at the mighty Panzer Dragoon Saga.

Sega Game Spoilers: Burning Rangers

Ok normally around this time of the week we bring you Sega Game Endings. Well we have decided to change that a bit, and instead of just bringing you the ending of games, we will bring you the openings too. There are several reasons for this, but most importantly it will help anyone, who has not played the game, understand the ending videos more.

The idea is not really to ruin a game’s experience, but many of the games shown some people will never play - and we hope that this feature will help show people why these games are so great. Plus it gives a lot of lazy gamers the chance to see the endings to many games.

First up with the Sega Game Spoilers is one of my all time favourites, Burning Rangers on the Saturn. If you don’t know, Burning Rangers is essentially a game about a team of futuristic firefighters.
