Aliens: Colonial Marines coming out in a few months?

We finally got some more news on the Aliens FPS being developed by Gearbox Software. In a weird turn of events, it seems that Sega has confirmed the game is coming out the first quarter of this year, even though they haven’t released any information or gameplay footage.
Apparently the game is going to have QTE sections, which could be annoying. It is also going to let you weld down doors and move furniture, all in the sake of stopping aliens from ripping your face off. The game will span six chapters, each with flashbacks detailing stories of the six Marines in your squad.
Still zero news on the Aliens RPG, what a shame.

OutRun Online Arcade to come as early as January?

When Sega announced OutRun Online Arcade, for XBLA and PSN recently, the only details of the release date given were “early 2009.” In terms of gaming that could pretty much mean anywhere as late April/May 2009, which would be annoying - though I guess not as bad as having to wait a whole year.
But good news, it seems that Sega is planning to release the game as early as January 2009! According to Siliconera, the above image shows a promotional poster from last week’s Asia Game Show, and while it is a little blurry here, Siliconera say that the poster states a Janauary release (I think it’s the bit next to the Sega logo).
I have no reason to doubt Siliconera myself, and if this is true then great news - we only have to wait about 4/5 more weeks (at the most) until the game is released!

Phantasy Star Portable slashing its way into the US in March

Phantasy Star Portable will be coming out on March 15th 2009, according to 1up. If you haven’t kept up with this title, it takes place after the fan hated Phantasy Star Universe. The game has sold very well in Japan, but I doubt it will pull in big numbers here. We will have to wait and see.
Phantasy Star Portable will not feature online play, only ad hoc. I wish they’d add an online mode! If the Nintendo DS can manage, why not PSP?

Valkyria Chronicles’ European release pushed forward

According to Eurogamer the upcoming PS3 exclusive, Valkyria Chronicles, has had its release date pushed forward by two weeks. Rather than being released on the original November 14th date, Sega will be releasing it on October 31st in Europe. Which is good news.
Also, don’t forget that there is a European demo due for release in a few days. Still no word on the release date of the US version, or any news on the demo.

Phantasy Star Zero hitting Japan this December

You know you like to import games, being confused by a strange language, not knowing what to do to finish a quest. So exciting! Well you can relive all those frustrating moments again this winter.
Sega released a press release in Japan for Phantasy Star Zero and marked it for a December release.
