House of the Dead

Prepare yourselves for even more horror. A new DVD release of horrifyingly terrible video-game-franchise-turned-movie House of the Dead is set for Sept. 9, just in time to celebrate the ninth anniversary of the Dreamcast.

For those of you unfortunate enough to have seen the movie in its original form, fear not: This version is a completely new cut (signed off on by director Uwe Boll, of course) featuring new dialog, commentary, animation from the games and enough “tongue-in-cheek humor” to kill yourself by proxy embarrassment. The new version is naturally titled House of the Dead: The Funny Version.

Original cast includes Jurgen Prochnow and Clint Howard with a special appearance by famed breast augmentation specialist Siegfried Wienermeister. Even the most hardcore fans of the original cult classic will never discover that human flesh tastes like chicken until they watch this hysterically tasteless funny version!

The original movie hit theaters in 2003 and grossed an estimated $13 million more than it deserved. Excuse me while I vomit onto my keyboarahgaaaauuggljakglhdlkgjklglkc,,bm,x

Iron Man movie teaser trailer online

Iron Man

Here’s some news that’s tangentially related to Sega: The first teaser trailer for the upcoming Iron Man movie is now online, and I have to say it is looking pretty sweet. Aww, yeah.

As all you Sega Nerds should know, Sega bought the rights to make games based on Marvel’s Iron Man character way back in November 2006. The game is being developed by Secret Level, which is also working on the upcoming new game based on the Golden Axe series. And before any of you babies start crying about how Golden Axe should be getting priority over Iron Man, I have it straight from Sega that there are two separate teams at Secret Level working on the two games. So the progress of one is not conflicting with the progress of the other.

Iron Man, the movie starring Robert Downey Jr., is scheduled to hit theaters May 2, 2008. The game should be released around the same time period. Mark your calendars, and hope the game turns out as good as the movie looks.
