New Sonic X-Treme footage released

Some unseen footage from the unreleased Saturn game, Sonic X-Treme, has recently been leaked onto the Internet. The video shows footage from a level called “New Paths,” where the level gimmick appears to be that new pathways unfurl when Sonic steps on certain tiles.
While this level seems to be incredibly small, I quite like the concept behind it. And despite everyone saying it would have most probably played like crap, Sonic X-Treme is still one of those games I wish had been released. It just looks so strange that I gotta play it!
Also, I don’t know if that music was the intended tune for the level, but Sonic Team should take note; it’s catchy, fun and pretty much better than most modern Sonic music.

Famitsu website leaks 7th Dragon info early
Posted by George. Filed under George, Japan, Nintendo DS. Tagged with 7th Dragon, Leaked.

Sega leaked the name first, then Famitsu decided to leak us some info. I think they like us, because are always craving new info on 7th Dragon.
If you can’t read Japanese (like myself), the text in the picture is a preview of what the game is. This is what it says
“Seventh Dragon is a brand new work from Kazuya Niinou the creator of Sekaijuu no Meikyu, reviving the 3D dungeon RPG genre. It is a brand new refreshing RPG set in a world where humans and dragons are at odds, while the flowers of oblivion called the Furowaro are flooding the land.”
Sounds like it could be interesting. It is not an S-RPG like most people assumed when we got that one image off of Sega’s site.

Rent-A-Hero No.1 English version leaked online
Posted by George. Filed under George, Microsoft Xbox, News. Tagged with Leaked.
Do you know what Rent-A-Hero is? Did you know the original was released on the Megadrive in 1991? This game was only released in Japan ony. But when Sega went 3rd party, there was a deal to bring Rent-A-Hero No.1 to the USA (Xbox version). It was suppose to be published by AIA USA, Ltd (now out of business).
Rent-A-Hero No.1 was first released on the Dreamcast, then later ported to the Xbox. Its not a sequel to the original Megadrive version, but a remake. The Xbox version was suppose to be released in the United States, it was even reviewed by US magazine Game Pro.
The lead character, named Taro Yamada has been featured in Sega’s fighting mash up Fighters Megamix on the Sega Saturn. Segata Sanshiro even makes a cameo appearance in the game, if this isn’t reason enough to play it, I don’t know what is.
Apparently Rent-A-Hero No.1 (USA version) has been popping up on torrent sites. People have downloaded it and confirmed its the full release.

Rumor: The Crucible to be shown at E3 [Updated]
Posted by George. Filed under George, Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony PlayStation 3, Video. Tagged with E3 2008, Leaked, rumor, The Crucible.
[Update:Soon after posting, a (supposed) video leak for the game was found. We still aren't sure if this is 100 percent legit, but speculations are pointing that way]
Microsoft’s E3 assets have been leaked online, things like them copying Nintendo’s Mii features and so on. Also leaked along with all the Activison stuff was a mention of The Crucible! Apparently the person that found it didn’t know anything about the game, I don’t blame him! Most Sega Nerds thought this game was dead.
No idea if there is a trailer leaked yet, but I hope there is more info soon. If you haven’t heard of this game yet, its rumored to be a Silicon Knights and Sega horror game.
Hopefully we can bring you more information on the game soon, and perhaps confirm whether this gameplay video is real. Stay tuned!
