Every time we see a new Iron Man trailer, the game just keeps looking better and better. In the newest trailer released by Sega, we get a chance to see Tony Stark outside of his Iron Man persona and see some of the details surrounding the game’s storyline.

What’s most impressive to me is how great the characters look. Robert Downey Jr. and Terrence Howard are both rendered very accurately, and now that we know all the actors lent their voices to the game, it makes us even more excited.

Now we just have to wait until the game releases on May 2.

Sega launches latest Marvel sites

This weekend Sega Europe launched a couple of sites dedicated to two of their upcoming movie tie-in games, based upon their popular Marvel characters, the Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk sites.

Both sites contain information on the game with video, images and character profiles. But like a lot of Sega sites, when first launched, they are not fully finished.

Sega will be slowly updating the sites with new images, galleries and info on the games as the time for the games release dates draw ever nearer. So fans of the games/comics should check back regularly to see any new vital information.

Iron Man nuts should go here, while The Incredible Hulk fans should get crazy here.

In this fascinating behind-the-scenes video, Reeve Thompson, the vice president at Secret Level, and the rest of his team reveal some pretty interesting tidbits behind its newest title - Iron Man.

Thompson talks about Sega’s initial intentions when it purchased the once-independent company and several gameplay and design choices, most notably the fine tuning it has to do to get the flight, melee and ranged fighting down perfectly.

The more we see and hear about this game, the more I’m beginning to believe it might be one of the best licensed games to date.

After getting so many great original games and sequels the past couple months, the licensed games are now on the horizon. We’ll be seeing Happy Tree Friends, Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk in the not-too distant future.

From what we’ve seen of the three games, Iron Man looks like it will be the best yet, and these two new trailers lend credence to my completely baseless claim. Check them out - they’re super sexy.

Iron Man game to be voiced by movie cast

Sega has decided to go for the real actors to do the voices instead of using cheap actors. Nothings worst then a actor, trying to act like a other actor. In the upcoming movie based game, Iron Man, three of the film stars will voice their movie characters in the game.

The actors chosen are as follows

  1. Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man
  2. Terrence Howard as Lt. Colonel James “Rhodey” Rhodesf
  3. Shaun Toub as Yin Sen

No Gwyneth Paltrow? That makes me sad.

YouTube Preview Image

Sega recently released a brand spanking new trailer for the upcoming Iron Man game, and I have to say things are definitely looking up for the game. The graphics all round have most definitely improved since the first videos we saw, Iron Man himself is looking very polished (literally) as he glimmers in the sunlight.

I’m also glad to see/hear Sega (finally) making use of Black Sabbath’s musical talents in this video. :)

The game will be available on the Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, DS, PSP, Playstation 3 and PC.

New Iron Man game trailer

GameTrailers recently put up the new trailer for the upcoming Iron Man game.

I have to say, the game is looking pretty damn cool. The video uses voice overs from the movie (and I assume game too), as it shows off some great flight action, and some good looking closeups.

We saw some early tech-demo footage, a few months back, and the game looked kind of ok, but also pretty bland and boring.

Granted trailers are edited to make the product look better, but the game looks great in this new video, I’m really looking forward to seeing more of it. The graphics have definitely been stepped up a notch over the previous video.

Iron Man

Sega has shown off five brand-new screenshots from their upcoming movie tie-in title, Iron Man.

It’s been a little while since we heard anything about the game, but by the looks of the screenshots, it is starting to look pretty cool. The game is definitely looking much improved graphically over the footage we saw earlier this year.

The images shown are from the Xbox 360 version of the game, though I’m sure the PS3 and PC versions of the game will look pretty much identical.

Iron Man movie teaser trailer online

Iron Man

Here’s some news that’s tangentially related to Sega: The first teaser trailer for the upcoming Iron Man movie is now online, and I have to say it is looking pretty sweet. Aww, yeah.

As all you Sega Nerds should know, Sega bought the rights to make games based on Marvel’s Iron Man character way back in November 2006. The game is being developed by Secret Level, which is also working on the upcoming new game based on the Golden Axe series. And before any of you babies start crying about how Golden Axe should be getting priority over Iron Man, I have it straight from Sega that there are two separate teams at Secret Level working on the two games. So the progress of one is not conflicting with the progress of the other.

Iron Man, the movie starring Robert Downey Jr., is scheduled to hit theaters May 2, 2008. The game should be released around the same time period. Mark your calendars, and hope the game turns out as good as the movie looks.

Sega releases more Iron Man concept art

Sega has provided a first look at concept art for it’s upcoming multi-platform release of Iron Man, the game tie-in to the forthcoming Paramount/Marvel film.

The character model seems to highly resemble the one showcased in the upcoming movie, though no official word has been spoken as to how closely the game plot will follow the movie plot. Sega signed a deal with Marvel for the rights to produce Iron Man videogames based on both the new film and the comics, and Sega has stated that it will produce the movie tie-in first, followed by games based on the Iron Man series of comics at a later time.

The game, which is being developed for all current platforms, currently has a vague Spring 2008 release date attached to it. Though it’s safe to assume that the game release will coincide with the movie’s premier, which is scheduled for May 2.
