Yuko Ogura gets her own mask

Yuko Ogura is an ex-Sega spokes-model; she was recently replaced by Satomi Ishihara. Since you can’t see Yuko’s pretty face in Sega commercials anymore, this amazingly lifelike Japanese “livemask” will provide all your Yuko needs.
This mask will have to do until we get some Satomi Ishihara masks. Yes, I’m going to order a mask as soon as I find out how. No, this isn’t a joke. This mask is awesome and has a lot of practical uses.
The first thing you can use it for is forcing putting it on your girlfriend (or wife), play the Jet Set Radio OST in the background, and have her describe Sega products in Japanese during intercourse.
The second thing you can use it for is an awesome Halloween costume. Get yourself a schoolgirl outfit (sold separately) and hit up all the hot spots. Sure you’ll get your ass pinched by drunk college guys, but at least someone will notice that you work out.

Sega gets a new idol

Yuko Ogura is out. Satomi Ishihara (see right) is in.
That’s the news Sega announced today, replacing their old idol/model/PR spokeswoman/pretty face with a newer, younger version. Ishihara will be the new “image character” for Sega’s amusement centers in Japan. Sega apparently selected Ishihara because of her pure, cheerful character and invigorating smile…?
Yuko Ogura was Sega’s idol since 2005, giving Japan two glorious years of corporate cosplay and endearing TV commercials and public appearances. I guess.
I don’t get this whole “company idol” thing at all. Crazy Japanese.
There’s a bunch of pictures of Ishihara in her brand-new Sega getup at Dengeki Online.
