Here is another game that Sega will never bring to the west, not that I’m complaining, this game is obviously not something that I would be into. If you are the type of people that love these type of games and you don’t mind importing, this product will be up your alley.
The game is set to release July 2nd, you can pre-order the game for 59.90 over at Play-Asia. For those of you that are going to ask, yes, the PSP is region free with all games.

Important changes to Sega’s Free Stuff Friday
Posted by Graham. Filed under Europe, G, Microsoft Xbox 360, News, Nintendo Wii, North America, PC, Retro, Sony PSP, Sony PlayStation 2, Sony PlayStation 3, Worldwide. Tagged with Contest, Giveaway, Prizes, twitter, update.

Yesterday we reported that Sega Europe and Sega America would be holding regular prize giveaways each Friday via Twitter, starting today. That has not changed, but there have been two significant changes to the way the giveaway is being done.
1. Each week SoE and SoA will alternate the prize giveaways. Originally we were told that when SoE hosted the contest, the prizes would only be available to Europe and Australia. This has changed. Whether it be SoE or SoA hosting the giveaway, the prizes are available to everyone, Worldwide each week. So US citizens can enter SoE’s prize draw today.
2. We were also told that for each prize Sega would post a queson via Twitter. This is no longer the case either, instead Sega has decided to make it easier. Sega will post a Twitter update and the first person to directly respond to the update will win the prize.
So all you need to do now is watch out for Sega’s update which will probably be something like; “Enter to win the Valkyria Chronicles art book now,” and you just need to reply with “I’d like the Valkyria Chronicles art book, please.”
Just make sure you are following Sega on Twitter and watch out for the obvious prize draw updates.
[Update] Get ready for SoE’s Free Stuff Friday on Twitter

In random celebration of the best working day of the week, Friday, Sega Europe is planning on giving away a few prizes via Twitter.
What you see above is the selection of prizes that will be on offer tomorrow, Friday 24th April. Unfortunately it’s not one big prize bundle, but rather the prizes will be given to seperate winners - which is still pretty sexy.
During the day, (probably between 2pm and 3pm), Sega will post a Twitter update giving out a question. The first person to respond with the correct answer will win.
[Update] Sega will no longer ask a question - instead they will post an announcement (via Twitter still) and all you have to do is be the first to respond, telling them that you want said prize.
Excited? More info after the break.
Erika Toda is the face of Puyo Puyo 7
Posted by George. Filed under George, Japan, Nintendo DS, Nintendo Wii, Sony PSP. Tagged with advertising, Creepy, Erika Toda, Puyo Puyo 7.
Now we present you a creepy amount of photos of Erika Toda at the Sega Press event.
Actress Erika Toda will be the face of Puyo Puyo 7, she will be featured in adverts and billboards all across Japan for the upcoming title. Most of you might recall her role as Misa Amane from the film Death Note: The Last Name (and yes I know it is a movie based on the manga).
You might be saying, using celebrities to promote a game is what Nintendo has been doing this past year or so, but Sega has been doing it for awhile, at least for Puyo Puyo games. The last game had Yuri Ebihara.
Erika Toda says shes a huge Puyo Puyo addict and there is even footage of her playing the game versus various people and beating them. I beat the American celebrities shown in Nintendo’s adverts don’t even play games in real life!

I know we posted a few days ago that Sega is making Puyo Puyo 7, but since it was posted on April 1st, I didn’t think people considered it true. Well here is the Famitsu scans, just in case you didn’t believe the last post.
You can now see some of the screens, they look very… Puyo Puyo-ish? Well what did you expect?

Puyo Puyo 7 coming to Wii, DS and PSP
Posted by George. Filed under George, Japan, Nintendo DS, Nintendo Wii, Sony PSP. Tagged with Project Ringo, Puyo Puyo 7.

Everyone said that the Project Ringo teasers was for a new Puyo Puyo game, it seems that you guys where correct. Today Famitsu announced that Sega is working on Puyo Puyo 7 for the Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS and Sony PSP.
The Nintendo DS version will be coming out this July 30th at the retail price of 5,040 Yen (about $51 dollars). Like the last couple of Puyo Puyo games on DS, this one will feature Wi-Fi mode.
As for the Nintendo Wii and Sony PSP versions have a winter release window. I guess those two versions are being made side by side. Also there is no western release date and I wouldn’t hold my breath for one, lucky for us the DS and PSP are region free.

Sonic Rivals 2 gets Greatest Hits label on April 5th
Posted by George. Filed under George, North America, Sonic, Sony PSP. Tagged with Greatest Hits, Price Drop, Sonic Rivals 2.

Sony just announced that Sonic Rivals 2 is one of the many games to go Greatest Hits next month. A PSP game has to sell over 250,000 units and be out for 9 months before it can go get the label.
The game will be re-packaged with the ugly new label and be sold for $19.99 starting April 5th, but chances are you can find the game a lot cheaper at Gamestop.

Project Diva will feature Space Channel 5 and Valkyria Chronicles outfits
Posted by George. Filed under George, Japan, News, Sony PSP. Tagged with Project Diva, Space Channel 5, Valkyria Chronicles.

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva is coming out in Japan July 2nd, no one here really cared about this game since it was mostly for a female audience. But now things are getting interesting, Sega revealed today that the game will have Space Channel 5 and Valkyria Chronicles themed outfits.
I like it when Sega cross promotes their games, makes me feel all gooey inside and I mean that in a nonsexual way.

Sega’s Hatsune Miku: Project Diva is coming out on July 2nd, only in Japan. The PSP game will run you 5,040 yen ($51).
I’m sure some of you guys are shocked that Sega isn’t bringing this game out west, nothing says that you’re an alpha male like playing Project Diva! If you still want the game, the PSP is region free.
