We have discussed the rumor going around that SEGA is considering bringing Yakuza 3, 4, and 5 to the PlayStation 4, if there was enough demand from fans. Today, Gematsu reports that SEGA is indeed going through with this plan and are remastering all three games for the PS4.
This is the suggested release dates for each game:
- Yakuza 3 – August 9
- Yakuza 4 – Fall 2018
- Yakuza 5 – Spring 2019
Yakuza 3 will also come with downloadable soundtrack. These games, however, are only confirmed for the Japanese audiences. There is no word if western audiences will receive the remasters. It is said that Yakuza 3 is nearing 90% completion and that all the games will run at 1080p/60fps.
