King of Fighters XIV’s next update launches January 11

Earlier this month, ATLUS revealed that a brand new update would be coming to The King of Fighters XIV. According to ATLUS, the update would improve the game’s visuals. Initially, ATLUS stated that the update would come out sometime in January but did not give a specific date. Luckily, now we have a solid release date!

“This update is planned to launch on January 11, 2017 and we will have a special Demo Ver. 2 ready for players before the official release so they can get an early taste of the updates.

Don’t forget that you will also be able to see this update in its full glory during The King of Fighters XIV World Championship event that begins with the “Four Kings Tournament” in Tokyo (Akihabara) on February 18, 2017.”

In addition to the visual improvements, the color variations for each character will increase from four to six. An “Athena 98′ Version” has also been released, and will be free from now until January 22nd.
