UPDATE: SEGA Europe is tweeting about Shenmue

Ever since Shenmue III was announced at E3, there has not been a single mention of Shenmue from SEGA. In a recent tweet from SEGA Europe’s official Twitter account, the house of Sonic has acknowledged Shenmue, stating “Time to play #Shenmue on the Dreamcast!”.

UPDATE: According to some new information, Paris Games Week has an official retro gaming section and Shenmue is one of the games that are featured and the SEGA Europe rep in the tweet above is shown playing in front of that display. The retro section was created by Mo5.com, a company who’s main initiative is to preserve video game history.

While this could be absolutely nothing, it is great to see that Shenmue is finally being mentioned by its original publisher. What do you think of the Tweet? Let us know in the comments below.
