A Symphonic SEGA Concert was performed today October 10th, 2015, on the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Space in Japan at 4:30 PM JST. “Game Symphony Japan 14th Concert : SEGA Special vol.1” was performed by the Tokyo Chamber Orchestra directed by longtime symphonic veteran Kenichi Shimura with arrangements by Mainemainuku, of course, there were some SEGA Composers who joined the live performances such as Sonic the Hedgehog music producer, Jun Senoue, during the Sonic Medeley and Takenobu Mitsuyoshi during the Daytona USA & Burning Rangers melodies performance. Other musical guests included legendary SEGA Composer Hiro, Sonic Music composer Tomota Ohtani, and NiGHTs into Dreams composers Sasaki Tomoko & Naofumi Hataya.
The concert was hosted by the SEGA Hard Girls voice actresses full lineup: M · A · O Ichimichi as Dreamcast, Shiori Izawa as Mega Drive, Takahashi Minami as SEGA Saturn, Yuko Takayama as Master System, Haruna Momono as Robopitcher, and Manami Tanaka as Sega Mark III. There were some SEGA devs among the crowd like Puyo Puyo Series Producer Hosoyamada Mizu, and Sonic the Hedgehog co-creator Yuji Naka, who also joined the stage for the concert presentation.
The Concert lasted almost 3 hours, the reported program was performed plus a 3 song encore, the final and real setlist was the following:
So as you can see, the concert was pure epicness, let’s hope SEGA releases this concert as a DVD + CD + Book + documentary combo in the future, it’ll become an instant buy among the fans!! A concert like this for just ¥6,500 to ¥8,500, incredible!

Days prior the concert, Kenichi Shimura, Mainemainuku, The Tokyo Chamber Orchestra, Takenobu Mitsuyoshi, Hiro, and Jun Senoue, joined the rehearsal. The TCO musicians were pretty excited about it, some of them even brought their own SEGA games to the place!
The Tokyo Metropolitan Art Space is a beautiful auditorium, the space is great for this kind of Symphonic concert.
HOURS BEFORE THE SHOW
There was a small rehearsal before the show, Kenichi Sjimura, the Tokyo Chamber Ochestra, Jun Senoue, and Takenobu Mitsuyoshi were part of it.
The concert was sold out, take a look at how crowded it was just by looking at the stairs an the merch store!
