All Japan Model Hobby Show: SEGA Figure announcements
The “All Japan Model Hobby Show“, a Japanese manufacturer hobby model kit showcase, was held yesterday; there were a few SEGA figure announcements and showcases, so check them out:
WAVE & FRREing x GOOD SMILE COMPANY
Since its Hang-On model kit was very popular, Wave announced another 1:12 SEGA Arcade Model kit, Astro City Cabinet will be released in 2016! Wave is a Good Smile Company partner, so FREEing and GSC took the chance to showcase their upcoming Virtua Fighter Figmas to go along the display, no release or preorder date has been issued for these.
KOTOBUKIYA
Because of the great Shining series figures by Tony Taka, it is no surprise Kotobukiya has announced another one for this series. Shining Resonance Kirika 1:8 figure was announced at the event. The figure will be set for a 2016 release. Kotobukiya also provided product shots and revealed a special bonus will be shipped with their site store purchases: an extra mini skirt as an add-on accessory.
HASEGAWA
Virtual On is a very popular SEGA IP among Japanese model kit consumers, it’s rad to assemble cool robots designed by legendary Gundam mecha designer, Katoki Hajime. So Hasegawa joins the Virtual On Anniversary releasing new model kits and announcing re-releases for classic ones.
ALPHAMAX
Alphamax took the chance just to announce and release preorders for their Blade Arcus from Shining Won Pairon pink color variant figure. The also announced they’ll be re-releasing the regular blue one. You can preorder the pink one here, the regular blue one here, and take a look at our unboxing for this figure here.
VOLKS INC.
Volks announced at the event their Shining Resonance Kirika Dollfie Dream doll is now available for sale on their site.
