Atlus, Vanillaware developing remastered Odin Sphere

The surprise announcement Atlus was teasing has finally been announced, and the company is teaming together once again with Vanillaware to develop a remastered version of the 2D RPG Odin Sphere.

The game will release on the PlayStation 4, PS3 and Vita on Jan. 14, 2016, and there’s been no specific word on if the new Odin Sphere will be released in the West.

The game was originally developed by Vanillaware and published in North America and Japan by Atlus in 2007 (2008 in Europe), so it makes sense for the two companies to team together once again.

Along with the game’s release, there will be a limited edition, 64-page artbook that features original art.
