3D Fantasy Zone: Opa Opa Brothers launches this week on the Nintendo eShop

Another SEGA 3D classic is hitting the Nintendo eShop this week. 3D Fantasy Zone: Opa Opa Brothers will be released on February 12th and it will cost $5.99 . 3D Fantasy Zone is a popular side-scrolling shooter, originally released in 1986 to arcades as well as the SEGA Master System.

Players control a sentient spaceship named Opa-opa to fight bizarre invader enemies. Features that are new to the game include “adjustable difficulty settings, the ability to save your game for later review, inclusion of both the Japanese and Overseas versions of the original game, a Stage Select feature that allows players to save and resume progress mid-game, and adjustable difficulty settings.”

SEGA blog has also released a very interesting interview  with Yosuke Okunari (SEGA of Japan) and Naoki Horii (President of M2) about the creation of the game. You can check out the interview here.
