Nintendo releases new Pier Solar HD trailer

IndieCade kicks off tomorrow in Los Angeles, and we’re sad because we’re not in Los Angeles tomorrow for IndieCade. Fortunately for us and most of you, Nintendo has our backs and has just published a new trailer for Pier Solar HD on its YouTube channel.

Pier Solar HD will be shown at Nintendo’s booth during IndieCade and will be released for the Wii U on the eShop. The game looks absolutely fantastic in beautiful HD, but what’s great is there’s an option to switch the visuals to a “16-bit” theme, giving it that authentic SEGA Genesis feel.

The game still doesn’t have a firm release date, instead being slated for the first quarter of 2014. If you want to know more about the game, then definitely check out our interview with Tulio Goncalves, the head of Watermelon Games. In addition to the Wii U release, the game will also be released on the Dreamcast, PlayStation devices, Xbox 360, PC, Mac and Linux.
