Happy 10th Anniversary Dreamcast!

Yes it has been 10 years since the Dreamcast was first launched in Japan, November 27th 1998. One of the most tragic consoles in history, mainly because it failed to capture the audience of gamers world wide, yet it still continues to hold a place in many hearts, keeping up with such a huge fan base 10 years on.
Just going to YouTube (or any other video site) you can find tons of Dreamcast tribute videos, and there are still plenty of Dreamcast-related websites out there still. Plus, unlike a lot of other consoles, the Dreamcast does still have quite a large homebrew scene (perhaps smaller than a few years ago but it’s still there), and we are still seeing brand new titles trickle out onto the market - like Wind & Water: Puzzle Battles earlier this month.
Well we aren’t going to drag this one out. Just sit back and enjoy the above Dreamcast tribute video, and feel free to comment with your favourite Dreamcast memories and/or games.
Happy Anniversary Dreamcast, and here’s to 10 more years of gaming fun!

The Dreamcast is proof that lightning doesn’t hit the same place twice.
Sega Genesis & Sega Dreamcast changed the video game industry and truly embodied what it meant to be playing a Sega system.
The only diffrence this time was Sega’s opponent had 10 times more money and a marketing campaign full of lies.

Since I’ve never been interested in the Dreamcast, and the fact that it’s both my parents’ birthday on the 27th November, it’s an official ‘whatever, just don’t bother me’ off me.

Wow, screw you Pur.
This hasn’t been the happiest Dreamcast day for me, but at least I don’t have to go to school! I also get to play games all day. I was thinking: what might happen if I boot up my Dreamcast today? Will it freak out and display a ‘thank you’ message? No. But that would be cool.

that video was great. happy belated birthday dreamcast. it has been months since i have played my dreamcast :( the last time i played was with my nephew, we played PSO and Sonic. It is because of the dreamcast that my nephew is such a huge sonic and pso fan today. I remember buying my first dreamcast new at wal-mart when he was just a baby. i will admit i feel like crying lol!
