428 receives a perfect score in Famitsu

It seems that Sega’s talent for releasing good games isn’t totally gone, as the latest issue of Famitsu tells us. 428 ~Fuusa Sareta Shibuya de~ scored a perfect 40 points in Japanese publication.
Unfortunately the game in question won’t likely ever be released outside of Japan, due to some heavy use of the Japanese language, and it’s a pretty niche product, something that only Japanese gamers seem to go for.
428 is the latest Visual Novel, by Chunsoft, using pictures to tell a story. Set in Tokyo’s Shibuya, 428 follows a young man, a virus researcher, a detective, a freelance writer and a cat mascot character (??) as they are brought together by strange global events.
While this isn’t a big deal to many people, it’s always nice to see Sega receiving good scores, especially in a magazine which rarely gives out such high scores.
In ten years Famitsu has only given out 9 perfect scores: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (1998), Soulcalibur (1999), Vagrant Story (2000), The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (2003), Nintendogs (2005), Final Fantasy XII (2006), Super Smash Bros. Brawl (2008), Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (2008) and 428 (2008).

This is AWESOME NEWS! Sadly is that this game is not 100% Sega… :/ However, Sega has produced it, so… they are not only publishing this game.
Also, this is the first time that Chunsoft make a kind of a “sequel” to [MACHI], that game originally released on the Sega Saturn.
I don’t like this genre, but I feel that I will try it for the first time :p

Wow, Graham that description sounds an awful like a Blue Stinger sequel! :)
Actually, a Blue Stinger sequel was in the works/planned. Ingeniously, it was gonna be called Red Stinger.

Sorry, Super Smash Bros. should NEVER receive a perfect score.

I speak Japanese. Perhaps I’ll import this game, provided there arises a method which doesn’t require a mod chip.
