Alpha Protocol gameplay trailer

Sega has released a new trailer for the upcoming espionage-RPG, Alpha Protocol. This new trailer has some of the development team (Obsidian) talking a bit about the game and some of the features, but (most importantly) it is also the first proper gameplay footage we have seen for the game.
Visually the game seems to be shaping up quite well. I couldn’t see anything that blew my mind, and the girl you saw talking looked very… wooden. But most of the visuals and animation appear to be solid enough.
So far, to me, it looks like almost any other generic 3rd person shooter, and it is kind of hard to really tell what the gameplay will be like. But I’m sure that will change in time, as no doubt more trailers and footage will be released over the next few months.
I’m certainly looking forward to see how this one turns out.

Obsidian needs to learn from Mass Effect’s lesson… add facial emotions!
Doing that helps breathe life into the game.
I could see the aspects of a RPG in both playing the character’s role and character growth in the game.

Taco Lord is dead on. The character interactions were killing the demo.
That being said, this is going to fill the gap quite nicely between MGS4 and Duke Nukem Forev… I mean, Splinter Cell Conviction. The actual gameplay looks very good.

After the stream of bad out sourced SEGA games to supposed “great developers who cannot make bad games” and bullshite like Condemned 2, I have no faith in any of these things anymore.

Now I’m interested in this game, it looks like mass effect with more action and worse graphics, and I’ve played Mass Effect like 5 or 6 times the last year.
