Sega Europe has just announced a very special adults-only House of the Dead: Overkill pre-order pack. The pack contains the game, limited edition slip case and (the best bit) a limited edition graphic novel.
The bad news is that it seems this deal is only available for PAL territories, so all you US fans could be out of luck. There is a possibility this could change, but right now the pack has only been announced for PAL regions.
Check after the break for full details and screenshots.

THE HOUSE OF THE DEAD: OVERKILL PRE-ORDERSIncludes “Prelude to an OVERKILL” Graphic Novel
LONDON (20th November, 2008) - SEGA Europe Ltd. today announced the red hot Collector’s Edition for The House of the Dead: OVERKILLTM for release in PAL territories. This premium edition of The House of the Dead: OVERKILL arrives encased in an exclusive collector’s slipcase and is accompanied by an exclusive graphic novel. “Prelude to an OVERKILL” tells the fateful stories of Agent Washington and Varla Gunns, on the night before the violent and shocking events of the game. I could be wrong, so tell me if I am, but I thought the Wii was region-protection free. No?
If it is I’d think about importing this.

@James
The Wii does have region lockout unfortunately.
Oh this SUCKS! I wish this was coming to the US as well! I hope they change their minds and add North America…
Then again, the US has gotten some exclusive bonuses for some games that Europe hasn’t, so I guess this makes up for some of it. So congrats to Graham and all you fellow Europeans, don’t waste this opportunity.

Well it is absoloutely stupid not to release a paper print out in Americano Land, because if they don’t it will be scanned and read online by people who may not buy the game, then again people might just do that even if it is released but nonetheless a graphic novel can increase sales even if they push sales by < than 10% it is an oppurtunity which should not be missed.

Since Headstrong Games is located in London, I can definitely see this being a UK exclusive. Oh well, I guess we’ll just have to wait for the scans.

Gay.
Third parties should not make SEGA games.

Third parties making Sega games are the reason Sonic handheld games are still good.

Im fairly certain Headstrong Games wouldn’t have that much input (if any) on the packaging for the game - or what it comes with.
It’s normally up to the publisher to sort out these types of deals, as they are the ones in charge of promoting the game and making people want to buy it.
So blame Sega…

Meh. I guess I don’t really care. I’m a fan of the House of the Dead, but I don’t think this one is for me. I’ll read this PornoGraphic Novel online.
