Did you skip buying the expansion Phantasy Star Universe: Ambition of the Illuminus? If you’re an Xbox 360 owner you are in luck because Sega just dropped the price of the expansion, it now costs only 800 Microsoft points.

Even though you don’t get the single player experience that came with the PC/PS2 version, you will still get all the online goodies. The game comes jam packed with six player co-op action,  25 new missions, 5 new bosses, and over 100 new weapons and items.

You will still need to have the original disk of Phantasy Star Universe and a guardians license to play the expansion pack.

Still one best made games ever!!
Best features and customization and battle mechanics to back it up!

Only prob is Sega is not taking care of this title the way they should with support and more content, and with “bandwagon” games like WOW on the market its hard to see Sega going out on a limb here. But still for 800 points is best online casual exp I can see.

Well there are the solo missions that came along with the pc/ps2 versions. They weren’t new at all actually. These missions were all (but one) available online with the original game. What you don’t get are the two new (short) videos. And voice acting for the japanese people only.

This is good news, but it should have been at this price point to begin with because of the required subscription. I’m still not getting it on the 360 though because once the servers inevitably go down, there is a game I can’t play and a wasted 10 bucks.
Then again, I’m a little protective of my money.

Yikes! Change that to “If YOU’RE an Xbox 360 owner…”

I don’t think I’ll get it considering the final achievement cannot yet be achieved and I have to pay to play the game even AFTER purchasing the expansion.

im waiting for a phantasy star game to be released on the wii. even if they just re-released episode 4 from BB i think that would be cool. The wii would be perfect for phantasy star with it’s wifi and motion sensor attacks…
