[Update] Three new Sonic Unleashed trailers

Whilst browsing Youtube (at 2:30am), I randomly stumbled upon two three new Sonic Unleashed trailers that Sega America and Sega Europe have just uploaded.
The first (above) is a level from the Wii version of the game, Holoska. Now this is actually the first Unleashed trailer that has made me really sit up and pay attention. From the looks of this lovely ice level Sonic Unleashed might actually be more appealing (to me) than I first thought.
While the other stages have all looked decent enough, I never got that ‘Sonic’ vibe, like you get when watching an old stage from Sonic 1, 2 or even Sonic Adventure.
They all felt too ‘real world’ for my taste, when really you can’t get more unrealistic than a blue hedgehog that breaks the sound barrier every time he goes to the bathroom. The stages need to match the character, and Holoska seems to be more in line with older Sonic games than other levels of Unleashed we have seen so far.
[Update]
This second video, uploaded by the Sega Europe team, shows off even more of the Holoska level and I think helps emphasise my original point, about how the level looks like it belongs in a Sonic game, more so than other levels we have seen.
The second third video is for the 360/PS3 version of the game and while this level, Empire City, goes back to being more realistic than Holoska, it does remind (a little) of Sonic Adventure - which is good.
Plus, something caught my eye - omg red robots! This is the first video I have seen where the robots weren’t that horrible blue/grey, and they appear to be a slightly different shape. (Thank you God!). Let’s hope the other levels are filled with a variety of robots too, and not just different colours here and there.

Looking better and better. I’m really having a tough time which console to buy this for; Wii, or PS3?

Do like me and get both. Getting both Sonic games is worth having to eat ramen for a few weeks straight.

I’m not getting this till Christmas.
Also, the Empire city one needs the Team America World Police theme.

There are still no reviews for this game. I’m really waiting for them to appear before I buy this game. All sega fans are psyched up about the any new Sonic but all the new sonic games suck. Except for the Rush games.

My opinion on this game is still “meh”.

It might be already ruined beyond repair. I see just about too much grinding. People will complain the game plays itself and I will have to agree..

I think the most comforting element of the first two trailers is that the slalom sections in the ice level seem to have very good physics, which is something that no 3D Sonic game can say (remeber the special stages from Heroes?… urg).
I’m not sold yet, but I’m optimistic. If the physics are good and the platforming sections aren’t plagued with cheap deaths, we could be on to a winner. I’m not expecting 10s, but unless something goes horribly wrong, we could be looking at about an 8 or low 9, and a superior game to Sonic Rush.
Ah well. I’m condemned to buying the game either way. My son’s letter to Santa had a list including “Little Sonic Big Sonic,” which is what he’s called the game ever since the first trailer featuring the Werehog. :P

I hate to say this, but nobody is giving me a detail-oriented rundown on the differences between each version. And therefore I’m not going to know which version to buy.
Obviously it was built with one system in mind. They may have two different teams but the original idea was originally conceived around motion controls or around high defintion graphics. Which was it?
If it was designed for the wii, I don’t want the 360 or ps3 afterthought version. If it was designed for the ps3 and 360, I don’t want the wii afterthought version.
Nobody gives me a detail-oriented answer on this. Not here, not the fanboy websites, not the magazines, and certainly not google.

Made originally for PS360, but the Wii version doesn’t have overworld fetch quests and also Mazuri (first african-like level we saw) and Empire City are gone.
